Weekend Pictures

Had a great weekend but it went by way too fast. My mom and dad came over to watch the girls while Ken and I went to a costume party. Marilynn (okay, and my dad) got a kick out of trying on our wigs, and we went to Greenlake to take in all of the great sun!

Pumpkins Again?

Yes, more pumpkins. . . I'm sorry. But, today I got to play chaperon to Marilynn's preschool's field trip to the pumpkin patch. The kiddos went on a hay ride, I fed them tons of Kettle Corn (I don't think I'll be asked back again) and yes, we bought more pumpkins. It was a nice sunny day, so when the kids were heading back, I yanked Marilynn out of the rest of the day of school and we had a fun Mommy and me day. Gotta grab those moments when I can.

Go, Erika, Go!

Erika has become so lively lately. She's rolling all over the place and is starting to get up on her knees wanting to crawl. She's also turned into quite the jumper in her Jolly Jumper!

More Fall Fun

I'm not sure who decided that pumpkins make the perfect backdrop for kids' pictures, but we found ourselves at a pumpkin patch yet again. We just can't seem to get enough of them - maybe I just like how Marilynn says "Punkin."

The Romance Continues . . .

Yesterday Marilynn went on a hot date with her boyfriend Nathan to Remlinger Farms where they got to ride some rides, take in a show, eat lots of popcorn and play in the hay. It was the perfect fall day and they had tons of fun.

Slumber Party at the Mills House!

Last night Ken and I got to find out what it would be like to have 5 kids. Yes, it's lots of fun but also lots of work. Two kids feels like nothing now. We had the Collins kids over and they all played, colored, watched movies and got to sleep in sleeping bags. In the morning, we all woke up and the kids took turns mixing waffle mix.

Crab Festival

Here's some pictures of Marilynn at the Crab Festival on the waterfront in Port Angeles. At first she was a little freaked out by the whole thing because she thought the crabs were giant spiders, but she soon started having fun and wanting to check everything out.

This giant octopus really freaked Marilynn out - she kept screaming "spider!!"

Future animal right activist Marilynn didn't like the idea of crabs being stuck in traps, so she "freed" the plastic toy crabs from the pots.

Marilynn loves playing with sand, and even better when it's with Uncle Christian!

Pumpkin Patch

Uncle Christian was in town this weekend for work, so we headed out to Sequim to see him and my parents. Marilynn loved hanging out with her uncle and she finally started calling him "Christian" instead of "Chicken" by the time the weekend was over. There's a pumpkin patch by my parents house, so Marilynn picked out her pumpkin (rather I should say four of them), and Christian build a pumpkin snowman.

Marilynn's BIG Day!

I'm pleased to report that Marilynn went poo-poo in the potty tonight! Words cannot describe how incredibly proud I am of her - I never thought I'd be so excited about poop. She was so cute as she sat down on the potty and announced "It's coming! The poo-poo is coming." Then she had the biggest surprised look on her face and proudly announced "The poo-poo came out. It's in the potty." She immediately wanted to call the grandparents to announce this huge accomplishment. She told Granny, Grandad, Uncle Christian and Paw-Paw and they all cheered for her. We'll have to call Maw-Maw in the morning, and I'll issue a press release shortly after that.

To avoid her not speaking to me during her teenage years, I've decided to not post pictures of the occasion.

Just Like Christmas!

The girls received a box of clothes and toys today from Maw-Maw in Texas. They were so excited to have a new fall wardrobe and Marilynn went bananas over the Curious George stuffed animal and books (pun intended)! Thank you, Maw-Maw!

Marilynn's favorite - Curious George!

Erika's first Halloween card and present!

And, yes, the girls are very much spoiled. Everything you see on this couch was sent from Maw-Maw.

A girl can never have too many shoes, and these ones light up!

Erika loves her new clothes - she's looking like such a big girl now!

Messy Girl!

Marilynn loves helping out Mommy in the kitchen - especially when chocolate cake batter is involved!
