Marilynn has turned into quite the budding photographer. Every time I turn around, she's snatching another picture. Here's a few of her recent works:

Swingin' Away
Marilynn and Erika got to join their friend Aiden for his 2nd birthday party and enjoyed checking out his new swing in his backyard. Thank you, Aiden, for letting the girls pretty much play all afternoon on your toy! And, the cake was yummy too!

Marilynn's First Camp
Marilynn went off to Vacation Bible Camp last week and enjoyed pretty much every minute of it. It was in the mornings for four days and she had a blast playing with kids her age, singing songs, learning Bible stories and eating lots of snacks (of course). The final day ended with a huge carnival with tons of games, rides and prizes (and more snacks). Ken also volunteered as a Kindergarten helper during the week, so needless to say, they were both wiped by the end of the week (Ken probably more so than Marilynn).

Swimming Like a Fish
The weekend was one of the hottest of the year and we headed out to our friends' pool to cool off. Marilynn took to the water like a fish - after a little hesitation. She kept saying "I'm swimming! I'm swimming."
She was like a marshmellow woman with arm bands and a life jacket on. I guess one can never be too safe!

Erika loved floating around in her turtle raft. It's the one thing that she hasn't tried to climb out of yet.
Marilynn's first swim strokes!

Party Time
One of Marilynn's friends from preschool had a Third of July party and the house was decked out as a kids' paradise - complete with slides, a bouncy house, wading pool, etc. And, it was paradise for the daddies (and some mommies, me included) with a full-on poker tournament, amazing food and drinks.
