Trick or Treating at Mommy's Office

The girls came by my office today for a trick or treating extravaganza. Marilynn's trick or treat bag was so full that she could barely carry it by the time it was said and done. And I had fun showing off my two favorite girls! Erika went as Winnie the Pooh and Marilynn was Belle from Beauty and the Beast.

Girls Day at the Pumpkin Patch

Erika was napping and Ken was absorbed with this thing called "football," so Marilynn and I trekked out to Jubilee Farms on our own and had a grand time. We took a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch, Marilynn rode a pony, we checked out the farm animals and brought 7 pumpkins home with us. Fun day with my favorite 3-year-old.

Is It Spring Yet?

The girls and I had fun planting tulip and daffodil bulbs the other day. Marilynn was very meticulous in digging the perfect hole and placing the bulb tip-up just right. Erika helped out by eating the dirt and then digging up the bulbs that we had planted. But, it made for a fun afternoon. Every morning since then, Marilynn has rushed out of bed and bolted downstairs to check the flower beds asking "Is it Spring yet? Have they grown?." No, my dear, we still have a looooooooong time to go. But, can't wait for them to make an appearance :-).

Day at the Park

We've been spoiled with a great fall so far! Just when I think it's time to grab the rain boots and umbrellas and put away the patio furniture, the sun pops up and reminds my why I'm glad to live in Seattle (at least for now - ask me again in February).
