Christmas Tree Search Adventure

We got so inspired to chop down our own tree while we were in Sequim, that we decided to check out and see if there were any Christmas tree farms in our area. And, oh boy are there! Today we headed out to Trinity Tree Farm in Issaquah in search of the perfect tree for our house. This was no ordinary Christmas Tree lot - they had train rides, a bounce house, hot chocolate/cider, a fire pit, Santa visits, and just about everything else you could imagine. It was a great day to be outside!

First, Marilynn and Erika take a ride on the train all around the farm to find the best tree.

We found one!
Whoops. Changed our minds (that's what happens with 3 girls in a family). This one is better.
Daddy cut it down with the most non-sharp saw ever.

Me and my girls (in front of another tree).

Marilynn guarding our tree with great gusto.

Finally, tree is bought, put on the car, and now we can enjoy some kettle corn and hot chocolate by the fire. Such a great day! Tomorrow, we will decorate it!

Hi Mills Family,

My name is Warren Kagarise, and I'm a reporter at The Issaquah Press.
I came across your blog post after I received a Google Alert for the word "Issaquah."
I'm working on a piece about holiday tree farms and lots, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in talking with me and sharing your tree-cutting experience with our readers.
I can be reached via e-mail at wkagarise@isspress.com. I'll be wrapping up the piece by Friday, Dec. 10, if you're interested.
Thanks for your time.
